We use a minimally invasive spine treatment approach to treat Lumbar Spinal Stenosis. Lumbar Spinal Stenosis, also known as LSS, occurs typically with age when the spinal canal changes in shape and size. It is most common among people with over 50 years of age. Our minimally invasive spine treatment treats LSS with patient comfort and safety at the forefront. The procedure is conducted by implanting a “Superion-spacer” through a tiny tube, the size of a dime, to minimize tissue damage and blood loss. Superion acts as an extension blocker in order to relieve pressure on the affected nerves. In order to ensure controlled movement and to minimize post-procedure complications, this device is available in multiple sizes to accommodate varying patient anatomy.
“I choose Superion for my patients because of its proven clinical results: safety, and immediate and durable improvement of symptoms. I love that I can offer my patients an alternative that is less invasive than traditional surgery and preserves motion.”
– Scott L. Blumenthal, MD, Texas Back Institute
