Are you living with chronic back or neck pain?
You can’t see this type pain, so it can be very easy to feel isolated. Come join others at our “Back to Life” Spine Pain Support Group, which meets every other month on the second Monday at 6:30 pm in the Jacksonville Spine Center lobby. The goal of the support group is to foster a sense of community by sharing knowledge, resources and common experience.
The meeting topics vary, but there is always discussion time, Q&A, refreshments, and cool door prizes. We keep it fun and light, but still informative. Past topics have included everything from “Eating your way out of Pain- the Anti-inflammatory Diet” to “Coping during the Holidays”.
The Jacksonville Spine Center is proud to be the first and only pain management clinic in Jacksonville to host a community outreach and support group for patients suffering from chronic spine pain. “Back pain can be very isolating. People find themselves unable to participate in the activities they used to enjoy. The pain affects one’s family and social activities and can eventually lead to depression.” says Dr. Christopher Roberts, founder of the Jacksonville Spine Center. “We hope that by hosting this group the feelings of attendees’ self-worth are increased, isolation is reduced and the doors to hope and optimism are opened” says Dr. Roberts.
If you or someone you know is interested in attending the support group, please see the upcoming meeting dates below. Additional information regarding future topics is made available on the Jacksonville Spine Center’s Facebook page prior to the event or Sign up for our newsletter.
